Welcome to Shamraach Rottweilers.

(SHAMRK)

We have been fortunate enough to share our lives with Rottweilers since 1987.  It all began when we rescued a puppy that had been discarded because the litter owners found they could not register the litter with AKC.  The parents, while full blooded German imports, were not registered with ADRK.  The puppies were also sick and they were not willing to spend any money on them, so they abandoned the puppies.  We named him after my husband's boss at the time, who was also of German decent.  Although my vet assured me that Raach would kill our other pets, he became fast friends with them, and with everyone he met.  No one was immune to the power of his warm eyes and loving heart.  He sold us on the breed forever.

Our kennel name "Shamraach" is a special spelling of the Irish Shamrock in tribute to Raach (below).  We chose to shorten it to "SHAMRK" for AKC registration purposes in order to give our puppy owners more options when naming their puppy.

We are members of the American Rottweiler Club and are a military family.  The Army's frequent moves have allowed us many opportunities to serve in various club positions (such as Show Chair, President, Vice-President, CRC Board of Director, CGC Chair, Match Chair, Ways & Means for a National Specialty, etc) in both All-Breed Kennel Clubs and Regional Rottweiler Clubs across the country.

We are dedicated to the improvement of both health and structure in the breed and all SHAMRK breeding stock are screened thru a series of health tests such as: OFA, CERF, Cardiac screening, Thyroid, and VWD.  Our dogs live in our home and puppies are raised in a home environment.  Shamraach is located on 10 acres atop Brindlee Mountain, just south of Huntsville, Alabama

You will see SHAMRK Rottweiler's participating in herding, obedience,
conformation, agility, carting and therapy work.
